Project Overview
Lawman Security and Consulting approached Dayat Enterprises looking for a replacement for Humanity, their previous scheduling platform. While Humanity offered basic shift management, it proved costly at scale and its interface didn’t align with Lawman’s contractor workflow. The company needed a more direct, custom-tailored system that matched their internal processes while avoiding recurring subscription fees. Our goal was to build a dedicated web and mobile platform that streamlined scheduling, improved contractor communication, and provided better reporting—all while cutting long-term costs.
We developed a Laravel-based web platform that gave administrators complete control over contracts, shift assignments, and reporting. A calendar-based scheduling system, powered by FullCalendar, replaced the disjointed views they struggled with in Humanity, allowing managers to quickly create and manage shifts with fewer clicks. Support for normal and holiday pay rates, contractor profiles with document uploads, and built-in messaging ensured all key features were integrated into a single interface—something that had been missing from their previous solution.
To meet the needs of contractors, we built a mobile app focused on simplicity and speed. Contractors can now claim open shifts directly from their phone, receive real-time push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and access shift details with just a few taps. By using Ionic + Capacitor, we ensured cross-platform compatibility (iOS and Android) with a single codebase, reducing both development and maintenance costs.
The platform also includes a custom reporting system for shift fulfillment and labor costs, which can optionally be shared with clients through secure, read-only access. This not only replaced manual reporting but also improved transparency with Lawman’s clients. The combination of a web-based admin dashboard and contractor-facing mobile app provides a seamless bridge between managers, contractors, and clients, which Humanity could never fully deliver.
The project provided Lawman Security with a cost-effective, streamlined solution tailored to their specific contractor model. By moving away from a generic, subscription-based platform, they gained a scheduling and communication tool that fits their workflow perfectly while reducing recurring costs. The new system is intuitive, scalable, and ready for future features like advanced analytics or client portals.
